2025. A wondrous year with Jools Holland literally all over the place, Europe, UK, here there and everywhere with a cracking band of folks and delights. My goodness, from March to Dec, started in Europe with the small band and onwards to an amazing Summer Tour with Chris Difford and our Winter tour with Imelda May. The full team from front to back, guests, lights, sound, catering, crew, support acts, merchandise, production, everyone, extra special wonders with my child Alicia working behind the scenes as crew and catering this year. All the gorge clothes and outfits I’ve worn, shops I’ve shopped in and lovely people I’ve invite and sung to. Lovely to see Sam Brown after so long and sad to have lost Gilson. So many beauteous people making the Jools Holland Orchestra being at the top of its game. Onwards to 2026. #joolsholland #saypaloma #tutuurbanboutique #joseph #blacktears

Totally wondrous 2 nights at the Verdict Jazz Club in Brighton, with Marshall Gilmour Webbs World of vocal delights. Joyous to be with Romany Gilmour, Hattie and Charley Webb and thanks to Tristan and his Verdict Jazz Club on Friday/Saturday splendour. We sang old and new songs, the audience loved it and special beauteous to lots of amazing audience members with their support and wondrous gifts, especially the flowers. So glad to get to get to perform with these girls with all our talents combining to make amazing music making. A stupendous night at The Key Theatre with my brethren, Luke Smith on keys, Julien Brown on drums, Dave Ital on guitar and Steve Walters on bass. Thank you Laurie Jacobs for the invite to this wonderful Jazz Venue in the studio room whilst work continues in the theatre itself. Thank you to Dan on sound too, and lights as well, joyousness and thank you to all the people that made my gig a sell out. I certainly brought songs about sunshine, beer and love to the room, those who were there will know what I’m on about, till the next one. The joyousness of Sunday up north giving thanks and praising our fellow Oldhamers for our family concert at Oldham Parish Church. Another great success raising money for Dr. Kershaws Hospice who looked after our mother in her last days upon the earth in 2016. Beautiful performances all round, thanks to our Dad for organising it all, Wayne my brother organ, my nephew James on flute and vocals, my Alicia on piano and vocals, I learnt the chords for my new single, Happy on my Own, due out next week on Skyline records and my sister Melanie singing her Jane Ayre version of Crazy. Performances from The Hope Singers, on piano Michael Korzeniewski and baritone, Harry Priestley. A raffle and auction raised over £2000….. Guest appearances from all of the Oldham dignitaries, and Sir John Rutter.
You have the chance to hear highlights on Oldham Community Radio, 99.7fm, DAB, online and via your smart speaker on Wednesday 24th September at 8.00pm.. Thanks to Ian Wolstenholme. Don’t miss it!

A special night at IMAX cinema of dreams. World premiere of us all performing at the Circus Maximus. It’s not everyday you get to see yourself 30ft tall on a screen. Witnessing the amazing craftsmanship and skills of David Gilmour, Gavin Elder, Polly Samson, Charlie Andrew and everyone, and there’s a lot of folk, involved creating this amazing film that is live to the world on 17th Sept, is something very delightful and made an unforgettable night. Everyone in the ‘Luck and Strange’ Tour in 2024 were amazing and this film shows a real family unit. The generosity that this film gives us to show off our talents is tremendous. .
Enjoy and run to the cinemas and see it live and hear the brilliance of a show that was filmed in Rome.
Amazing to be part of such a show and musically delicious throughout. The band, Guy Pratt, The Webb Sisters, Rob Gentry, Ben Worsley, Romany Gilmour. Sorry to not have Adam Betts and Greg Phillinganes with us on this evening, but with us in soul and joy. Don’t miss this treat at your local cinema. We shall be giving full praise and glory as a fami

We shall be giving full praise and glory as a family on the Sept 14th in our hometown once again to raise funds for Dr Kershaws Hospice in our mum’s memory.
It’s such a joy to be with my siblings and our father on one day of the year singing hymns and anthems, giving praise with many Oldhamers, friends and family getting together to celebrate our mum’s life. There’s a raffle, auction, delicious homemade refreshments, music and joy. What more do you need on a Sunday afternoon up north.

A wonderful time at the BBC Proms for the Classic Thriller Soundtracks, solos of wonder by Ashton Jones and Lance Ellington singing Laura, On Days like These, Shaft, In the Heat of the night and the gathering of voices for Caper Time. The music of Bernard Herrmann and Quincy Jones were played beautifully by
The BBC Concert Orchestra, with loads of outstanding solos throughout the evenings programme. Conducted by Edwin Outwater and presented by Edith Bowman, it was a very special evening.
I arranged the backing vocal parts for Sumudu Jayatilaka Andy Playfoot and my sister Melanie. Wonderful.
Thank you to the wonderful behind the scenes people, Shannon St Luce, and Ruth who guided us all to the stage at the correct times. It’s always so amazing to perform at the Royal Albert Hall, this was no exception. Lovely to have wonderful footage and photos by Mivani Creative too.

I had the best trip to Sardinia with my brethren,

I had the best trip to Sardinia with my brethren, we ate & drank like Kings and Queens, we, that is, Jeremy Stacey, Tommy Emmerton, Jeff Leach, Geoff Gascoyne with my assistant Trudy Kerr, truly outstanding levels of brilliance. Danny Marsden along with Tom Walsh and Trevor Mires played like diamonds and gems on their horns of delights with choreography elements thrown in as well, and all of us as the Brethren created 3 gigs full of vibes of sprinkles and gold.
Big thanks to the tremendous organisational skills of wonder, Simone Pittau. 3 cheers to all his creative team behind the scenes, Sound guys of glory, Fabio Pala-FOH, Simone Floris, lighting god & Christian Scarponi, monitor lad, you made us all sound and look ridiculous on all the stages.
Big thank you to The Culture Festival and the Mettala Festival.

Wonderful venues that I’m still trying to pronounce, Fluminigiarro, Tenuta Olianas and Comune di Olbia by the yachts and restaurants.
Beautiful to see so many friends and fans who have followed me over the 12 years I’ve been coming to Sardinia, all beauties…

Spectacular venues, amazing sound and lights, but the best, ‘Bambinos’ - special children who just decided to get on the stage, and the doll that was placed fabulously on the stage. Many special elements, & praise be to be blessed to have these golden opportunities to travel,sing & rejoice with glee in my heart.

July, was flipping busy I can tell ya, Lord and Lord again. Thanking the world for such offerings of beauty and strength. Gigs and gardening, trillions of singles and songs, MGW and Sci Fi Soul orchestra, Jools and Frankie, meeting new folk and doing a lot of gardening, if you’re not on my collection of photos it’s cause I couldn’t fit it all on…… blessed with July gifts, parties, big bands, I would tag more folk but I’ve only got space for 20…. I need 2000, long and short car train and bus journey, sunshine and rain. Backstage dressing rooms and turning up at home at 2.30am. The full works. Recordings and kisses… now there’s a song title.. work has been fruitful and beautiful, I thank all my friends and family and new colleagues and people looking out for me, a joy to perform and sing and be ME! One day I’ll have room for a fridge, but for now, this is permanent garden essential whilst Iisten to all my musical projects.

Delights and wonder to have 2 nights at the fabulous Dunmow Music Club in Great Dunmow, Essex on Fri and Sat 24/25th April. A joy to play with Ben Worsley, guitar, Steve Walters on bass and Karl Vanden Bossche giving it rhythmical percussion vibes for our acoustic sets. Thank you to Mick Wilson for getting in contact with me and sorting this date out a year ago. A lot of hard work and brilliant planning from everyone behind the scenes of such a wonderful organisation. Brilliant. Gorgeous to have both evenings opened by Evelyn White on vocals and guitar and Robert Vincent with sublime songs and heartfelt performances. Old songs, new songs and cover tunes, including ‘Afraid to Feel’ too. Thank you to Alicia for coming along and doing some beau filming too and just bring there with me. Hurrrrrahhh

A joyous trip with Jools and the Orchestra to Antwerp, and meeting old and friends, Hasselt, meeting one of greatest DJ playing all the 45 records, Blue Flamingo, Amsterdam performing at The Paradiso, and two private gigs at Soho House in Amsterdam and The Hague in front of many fabulous guests hosted by the fabulous British Ambassador of Netherlands, Joanna Roper, beautiful people and wonderful restaurants and great venues.

Thank you to Willi Turk and all the promoters and wonderful wine, sauerkrauts, Bavarian restaurants, hills, mountains and hotels. Glorious to be home to be in the garden and see family and cats at home. Sorry that there’s no sound of the glorious clapping audience, it was very very fabulous and loud.
